Happy Anniversary to you two! Hope you have a wonderful day! You deserve it!!!

Ceremony location (with the addition of some sunshine and flowers!)
Mark your calendars - August 21st is the official day that Mike and I will tie the knot! We signed the contract today, so there’s no going back now! We will be married on the beach in Laguna Beach, Calif. The ceremony will take place around 6:30pm, followed by a reception overlooking the Pacific Ocean (with views of Catalina Island). The gathering will be small and intimate - but we are really excited to have everyone together to help us celebrate our special day. I’m looking forward to having my mom down here in a few weeks, so we can hit the bridal shopping hard - we’re gonna zip around this city (in our new little car) and visit as many places we can until we find “the one.” Haha…jk, I don’t think it will be so dramatic, but if wedding dress shopping is anything like prom-dress shopping, then I think we have our work cut out for us :) Gimme a ring if anyone has any ideas or suggestions of how to make the getaway enjoyable for all!
Today was an exciting day! Mike and I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new car…it was a big decision, but we feel that our choice of a 2008 Honda Civic was both responsible and economical. Averaging about 30mpg, the Civic will be a refreshing alternative to Mike’s gas-guzzleing Jeep. In Los Angeles, you can’t go anywhere unless you are willing to drive (and sometimes sit in traffic)! We are excited to zip around town and save some dough on gas. It’s also pretty cool that I won’t be stuck at home all day when Mike decides to go on all-day dirtbiking excursions! We were a little anxious to make the commitment, but pretty darn excited too…
Happy Valentines Day…this is a picture of Moby with his favorite heart purse.
The building where I work! Taller of the two - 17th floor!
This won’t be a very exciting post - but I thought I’d mention what I’ve been up to lately (see title). Twelve hour days were definetly the standard this week. Getting to work at 7:30am and lucky to get out at 8pm were the norm. Looking at the months to come, I don’t expect it to get any better! I don’t know how people manage to maintain a work/life balance - I think it’s quite hard!
On a happier note, I just found on my sister Erin is coming to visit for a few days in April! Yea! Always nice to see family - now I just have to find a way to escape work for a day…hmmm.
